One of the benefits of Docomotion is that using a pre-determined document form ensures consistency in the paperwork you send out. But what happens when you want to break the mould a little? Stray from the beaten path? Get a little creative?
Say you have a certain customer that you want to win for strategic purposes. They negotiate hard for more favorable payment terms. Your invoice template states that payment is due within 30 days, but you’ve agreed to extend bill settlement to 60 days, just for them. All other terms and conditions remain the same as for any other customer. Can you still use Docomotion to generate your document in the usual way?
Last-minute tweaks to your documents
The answer is, yes! We’ve introduced a new feature that we call Live Editor that enables you to make last-minute tweaks to your document just before you hit ‘send’. Simply prepare the document the way you always do, populating it with the relevant data from Salesforce, your CRM or wherever. When you’re done, simply click on the Live Editor tab at the bottom of the screen, select the text area you want to amend, and make the necessary changes. You’re good to go!
Of course, Live Editor can be used for other changes, too, such as adding tables, bullets, hyperlinks, color, and text design. The changes made to the output don’t affect the form itself or the Salesforce/ CRM record from where the output was generated. What’s more, if there are specific sections that you want to make sure do not get changed, except by authorized personnel, these can be locked to ensure no one goes rogue!
So, there you have it: the flexibility to make one-off changes without compromising on overall consistency.
