Output Locations for Output Channels and Related Output Formats

The table below provides information on where you can find the generated output according to the selected output format and output channels.

NA means that an output format is not available the specific output channel.

Editing the Output: for Mail Output Channel and Mail Body Output Format

If you select the Email output channel when you click Generate Document, the Send an Email page with the Live Editor is displayed.

You can use the Live Editor to edit the text.

Avoid adding fields in the header and footer when the Live Editor is in use since Salesforce fields will not be displayed in the footer or header in both the Live Editor and edited output.

Sections of the Form might have been locked by the Form Designer. These sections can be deleted in the Editor but not edited.

When you finish editing:

  • Click Send Now , to send the email.
  • Click Send with Salesforce ② to display Salesforce’s Email Message>Send an Email page.
Depending on your system configuration you might not see one of these options

You can use the Related to field to specify where the Activity History will be saved.
If the output is generated from one the supported objects (that appears in the dropdown list) the default is the Object’s record.
If not, you can select the record where the Activity History will be saved.

You can click Attach File and attach files to the output. The attached files are listed below the email.
